Currently, there are 32 colleges and universities, approved by the Michigan State Board of Education to prepare teachers and recommend them for a certificate to teach. Four more have preliminary approval and work through a mentor institution. Individuals interested in becoming a teacher may find this information helpful in selecting a college or university.
